Our business
We are a lead-generation and referral service. When you submit a request, we share it with one independent tree-service company, which may pay us for the referral. That sharing is the main purpose of collecting your information.
What we collect
- What you give us: name, phone, email, job address, town/ZIP, service details, photos, and messages or voicemails.
- Automatically: basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and referring site, through server logs and analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) that may use cookies.
How we use it
- To pass your request to, and match you with, local tree companies.
- To contact you about your request, including follow-up asking about your experience.
- To keep records of referrals for billing and dispute purposes with participating companies.
- To operate, secure and improve the website, and to comply with law.
Who we share it with
- One participating tree company per request (we do not share your request with multiple contractors). Once shared, its use of your information is governed by its own policies.
- Service providers that help us run the site, forms, phone/text and email (for example hosting, telephony and analytics providers).
- Authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
We do not sell your information to data brokers or for unrelated marketing. We do not share text-messaging opt-in data or consent with third parties for their marketing.
Texts and calls
If you consent (see the full consent terms), we and the company we refer you to may contact you by call, text or email about your request. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or email us. Message and data rates may apply.
Retention
We keep referral records for as long as needed for the purposes above, generally up to 3 years, unless the law requires longer.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or to stop contacting you, by emailing info@oceancountytreeservice.com. New Jersey residents may have additional rights under the New Jersey Data Privacy Act, and we will respond to verified requests as the law requires.
Children
This site is not intended for anyone under 18.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes
We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
